The 24th AMEDIA Hotel and the first in Linz is being built on a 1,730 m² plot. The 4-star business hotel will have 97 rooms with top equipment on four floors and will meet all the requirements of business guests and frequent travelers. A restaurant area consisting of a bar and a breakfast restaurant are also planned.
The location is strategically well-chosen: in the immediate proximity of the hotel are the medical facilities (Keppler campus, UKH and university hospital), educational institutions (HTL for artistic professions, colleges), in the west an industrial area with shopping center, the chemical park in the southeast , the Voest Alpine in the south, towards the city and west the Raiffeisen Landesbank, the ORF Upper Austria and the Design Center Linz.
"The location is ideal as a connecting axis between the city center, train station, design center and the waterfront. As a native of Linz, I am pleased that there will soon be an AMEDIA hotel in my hometown as well"
says Udo M. Chistée, owner of the AMEDIA Group.
Roland Paar, Head of Hotel Investment at SORAVIA:
"We are pleased to be able to develop another joint hotel project after the AMEDIA Hotel in Lustenau. This fits in perfectly with our expansion strategy of investing in hotel development in economically strong cities in German-speaking countries."
The general contractor was Holzhaider Bau GmbH. Overall, SORAVIA is investing around EUR 12 million in the hotel project. The completion is scheduled for fall 2019.
